Working with the Professor of Statistics in the School of Health and Social Care at Bournemouth University, you will contribute to providing methodological support to NHS and University staff conducting health related research. This includes the provision of statistical/ methodological consultancy, and being a member of multi-disciplinary teams developing research protocols and conducting research projects. You will also have the opportunity to develop your own programme of research.
This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in the continuing development and expansion of medical and health research at the University, working with both health professionals and academics, particularly in the themed areas of neurology, diabetes, cancer, haematology, vascular, pregnancy and childbirth, psychology and quality of life. Involvement in Clinical Trials will be an important aspect of the post.
Appointment to the Senior Research Fellow grade will be dependent on experience and qualifications. For the Research Fellow grade a relevant Masters or equivalent level qualification is required. For the Senior Research Fellow grade the requirement is a Doctorate qualification in a relevant discipline, with significant experience of working in health research (although consideration will also be given to those with a Masters or equivalent level qualification with a commitment to obtaining a relevant Doctorate within an agreed timescale).
This post is offered on a one year fixed-term contract in the first instance.
