Ph.D. Studentships: October 2009 start
Developing the methodology of Randomised Controlled Trials (RCTs)
The MRC ConDuCT Trials Methodology Hub brings together research into the
commissioning, design, and conduct of RCTs, and is hosted by the University
of Bristol Departments of Social Medicine and Community Based Medicine.
Developing methods of statistical analysis forms a large part of the work of
the hub, and we would like to hear from prospective students who are keen to
study for a Ph.D. in this or one of our other areas of interest. Funding is in
place for several three or four year studentships.
For possible areas of study, supervisors and the application procedure please
see the ConDuCT Ph.D. programme prospectus, available under “Other funding
opportunities” on the Bristol University Department of Social Medicine
postgraduate opportunities web page:
<http://www.epi.bris.ac.uk/postgrad/pg.htm>
Please get your application to us by Tuesday 30th June to ensure an October
2009 start. Later applications will be considered if there are studentships still
available.
