Hi Verity,
I've copied this in to the Museums Computer Group. I'm sure one of the
people on here will know lots about this (I think it's come up before),
and they'll be able to reply directly to you (as you're not on list!).

Subject: Do you use hypertagging?
Dear GEMmers,
I seem to do more answering than questioning these days so I hope
someone out there may have time to advise me. This is one for the
technical folks amongst us.
I am keen to investigate hypertagging in a very remote site in the
Scottish Highlands as a way of keeping on site interpretation to a
minimum and delivering appropriate information at particular points on a
route.
I have made contact with a supplier of this technology already who
naturally raves about it - but I would be interested to have any
independent feedback on hypertagging as an interpretive/educational
tool, especially from anyone who has used it in remote outdoor locations
where mobile phone signals may be patchy.
Even if you've just stumbled across this on holiday somewhere I would be
interested in your thoughts, and if you can suggest any alternative
technologies I would be interested in those too.
With thanks and all best wishes,
Verity Walker
