This is an exciting opportunity to participate in a new collaboration between econometrics and health informatics at The University of Manchester. You will demonstrate the contribution econometrics can make in causal modelling of healthcare systems, policy evaluation and the measurement of inequality. Working with Professors Matt Sutton, Alastair Hall and Iain Buchan, you will develop econometric techniques and apply them to large, longitudinal datasets on health and health care inequalities.
You should have a higher degree in economics or other relevant subject, a strong conceptual understanding of econometrics, and a willingness and ability to apply and communicate econometric techniques. Previous experience of working with health data and with very large datasets is desirable.
This position is tenable for three years.
Salary
£36,533 - £44,931 p.a.
