I'm not so sure - the gatekeeper will get contacted from the submit
host (WMS or condor-G host) to poll job status, retrieve outputs, etc.
If the pool account the DN is mapped to suddenly changes then things
may well stop working. I have got into trouble with this trying to fix
VOMS at Glasgow "live" when we only had one CE.
N.B. This affects production in so far as you introduce prod pool
accounts. Enabling Role=pilot is a separate affair and should be safe
while no jobs are running.
