For the most part, the representative quotations from each book are
unlikely to attract many average readers to poetry:
* "And when you lick the sweat along my thigh, Dearest, we renew
the gift of tongues"
* "...I will push my nail into her neck and make a lovely necklace
out of her green bones,"
* "Horse Boyle was called Horse Boyle because of his brother Mule;
Though why Mule was called Mule is anybody's guess."
* "I thought if you blacked out you'd see it like a movie, people
gathering above your head, but of course I wasn't there to know I was
gone."
Taken together they remind me of certain bars just before last call.
