Message from the MIST mailing list.
Dear colleagues
Many thanks to those who have been in touch regarding the development of
MIST science vision. Once we have some more volunteers we hope to
establish a working group to push the development of this document in a
timely fashion.
In an effort to provide a context and give a picture of what we might
aim for, Mervyn kindly supplied the following links:
1. The BAS science briefing documents
http://www.antarctica.ac.uk/bas_research/science_briefings.php
2. The IPICS White Papers http://www.pages-igbp.org/ipics/whitepapers.html
It is worth noting that at the UKSP community meeting Sarah Matthews,
who is a member of the Near Universe Advisory Panel, told us that the
panel is developing a roadmap document that will be put to the community
for consultation in due course. This will be a very incomplete document,
intended for heavy revision.
regards
Andrew
