Dear group members
I am a Research Associate of a not-for-profit research company (ppre
Limited) that has been commissioned by the European Refugee Fund (ERF)
funded ARRIVE project to undertake a survey of refugee health
professionals (RHPs) in several Strategic Health Authority regions in
England.
As part of this survey we are keen to investigate the number of refugee
health professionals that are known to refugee and community
organisations, ESOL providers and other HE/FE providers. There are a
range of funded projects to
support RHPs to return to employment in the health sector as well as to
support them in undertaking alternative careers pathways.
Over the next couple of weeks we shall be contacting a number of refugee
and community organisations o see if they have any RHPs currently working
with them and
who might be interested to take part in a survey (for which they will
receive a voucher for their time) but in the meantime I would be very
grateful to hear from any providers working with refugees that worked as
health professionals (doctors, dentists, nurses and other allied health
professionals) in their home countries.
I have attached a leaflet about the ARRIVE project and would be happy to
discuss this further.
