Applications are invited for two posts of
LECTURER IN EDUCATION (TEACHING OF LANGUAGE ARTS)
Qualifications:
Applicants must possess:
PhD in English with post-graduate professional development in English
Language Education/The Teaching of English
Or
PhD in (English) Linguistics, with postgraduate professional
development in English Language Education/The Teaching of English
Or
EdD with specialization in English (Studies)
Minimum Qualifications:
MPhil (or equivalent research-based degree at the Master's level) in
English (Studies) or English (Linguistics) or Communication Studies,
with post-graduate professional development in English Language
Education/The Teaching of English
Experience:
• A significant number of years teaching experience (with professional
development) in the school system;
• Experience in the preparation of teachers at the tertiary level;
• Experience in the teaching of foundation and service areas (e.g.
Philosophy, Psychology, Sociology, Research Methods in Education)
would be an asset.
Special Responsibility:
The appointee will be required to teach courses in any of the
following areas: the Postgraduate Diploma in Education, Bachelor of
Education, Master of Education and Doctor of Education.

• Excellent interpersonal communication skills;
• Excellent written and oral communication skills;
• Ability to work in a collaborative team environment to improve the
work of the School and to interface with schools and other educational
agencies.
