Dear All,
Currently our first year medical students see us for a 2 hour session in a computer lab. We teach generic searching skills, but we do teach them how to use Ovid Medline, and they are assessed on that.
If you teach information skills to medical students, we would be very interested to know if you teach them how to use Medline, or whether you concentrate on the more general search engines that we all know they will use in the end... If you teach Medline, which interface? And, if you teach first year medical students, how do you run the sessions?
Thanks in advance. I shall try to remember to summarise replies for the list, in due course.
