Bibliographic Services Librarian
University Library
Salary Grade 8 - £38,757 to £43,622 p.a.

To lead and manage the Bibliographic Services teams, Books and Serials, and develop their activities so that effective access to the Library's expanding range of printed and digital resources is assured for all users. You will initiate and lead projects including digitisation, retrospective conversion and Library online catalogue developments, ensuring that emerging technologies and metadata standards are exploited effectively. You will be responsible for quality standards for the procurement and cataloguing of material.
You will have excellent communication skills, including the ability to promote innovative services clearly and persuasively. A qualification in librarianship or information science (or equivalent) at first degree or postgraduate level, a knowledge of bibliographic standards, and substantial relevant library experience including staff and project management, preferably in an academic environment, are essential.
