Hi Rosemary,
I'm not sure if this will have you running for the hills or not, but
Louise Cole wrote a really good article that sums up many of the
problems you are likely to encounter.

My own hint, try to keep smiling!
Good luck in your new job,

Subject: [LIS-E-RESOURCES] Courses on e-resource provision

Dear all
I 'm a new member of LIS-E-RESOURCES and have recently started work at
the Royal Society of Medicine. Part of my responsibilities is e-journal
and e-book provision, which are still fairly new areas for me and I'm
looking for a course for myself and a colleague on administering the
above: understanding the different structures of e-resource provision
and for example, where problems can arise; how to tell whether they are
located in our own IT systems or with the publisher or distributor,
proxy server (which we use) etc.
I'd be very grateful for any suggestions..
