Survey: Clinicians and Prevention of Cardiovascular Disease.
Dear Doctor,
We are conducting a study regarding clinicians’ decision making in prescribing
cardiovascular prevention therapy. We would really appreciate your time and
help if you could complete our survey. As yet, there have been no studies in
the UK investigating GP’s prescribing decisions for cardiovascular disease and
the results of this study will be of great importance. Also, your response is
vital as I am a medical student intercalating in a BMedSci degree and the
results will be part of my final dissertation.
You can rest assured your response will remain completely anonymous and
confidential.
We will present you with a set of short cases, in which you will need to
determine whether or not you would prescribe. We will then ask if you could
briefly explain your decision making.
If you would like to complete our survey, please log onto:-

If you are unable to complete the survey but you know of other clinicians who
can, please forward this email on.
We would ask for surveys to be completed by April 13th if possible.
This study is being undertaken at the University of Birmingham by Charlotte El-
Sayed (Medical Student) and supervised by Dr Tom Marshall (Senior lecturer in
Public Health). If you have any queries regarding the project, please contact:
