The Strategic Development Planning Authority, on behalf of the eight Local
Authorities of Glasgow and the Clyde Valley area, prepares and monitors the
joint Strategic Development Plan strategy for the Glasgow City Region. It is
widely recognised and awarded for its innovative approaches.
This post is an opportunity for a Planning Analyst with a strong focus on
delivering structured data management and analysis
You will be required to maintain, develop and update data systems related to
the work of the Strategic Development Planning Authority. You should be able
to demonstrate a good working knowledge of data administration, collection
and management systems, including the use of GIS, especially in terms of
merging and analysing data from a wide range of internal and external sources.
You should be prepared to exercise initiative in terms of modernising the
processing for data collection to secure improvements and efficiencies in both
data quality and mapping outputs.
Similarly, you should be prepared to adopt a flexible approach to workload
requirements and have a commitment to team working.
