The University of Texas Medical School at Houston, Department of Neurosurgery, Laboratory of Functional Neuroimaging and Electrophysiology: Post-doctoral researcher with experience in functional and structural neuroimaging is sought for an initial two-year position in the Tandon lab beginning immediately. This is an unparalleled opportunity to work with members of the neurosurgery, neurology, and neurobiology and anatomy departments on neuroimaging studies of language in adult epilepsy and tumor populations. The candidate will have the opportunity to combine neuroimaging data with human intracranial electrophysiology and direct cortical/sub-cortical stimulation during awake neurosurgery and with implanted macroelectrodes. The ideal candidate will have a background in cognitive neuroscience, fMRI experience (design, data acquisition, and analysis), strong communication skills, and an ability to work with an inter-disciplinary team.
