A research fellow position is open for an NIH-funded project in Dr. Blood’s
laboratory at the Martinos Center for Biomedical Imaging at Massachusetts
General Hospital/Harvard Medical School. The candidate would be part of a
laboratory using brain imaging to study movement disorders and mood
disorders. The project involves using MRI to study the structural and
functional effects of treatment on the central nervous system in the
movement disorder dystonia, and has broad implications for our understanding
of brain plasticity. The position is available beginning May 1, 2009 and can
last for up to three years. The candidate must hold a recent Ph.D. and/or
M.D., preferably in a neuroscience or neurology-related field. It is
important that the candidate be well-versed in experimental design, and have
technical expertise either in neuroimaging, or in a discipline with
relevance to neuroimaging (e.g., programming, statistical analysis, or
electrophysiology). Applicants should send a CV, statement of research
interests, and three letters of reference to Anne Blood at
[log in to unmask], or Martinos Center for Biomedical Imaging, CNY
149-2301, 13th Street, Charlestown, MA 02129.
