Research project on the return intentions of irregular migrants
The Institute for Public Policy Research (ippr), the UK's leading
independent think tank, is currently conducting research that examines
the return intentions of irregular migrants who are living in the UK.
As part of the project we are looking to commission researchers to
interview people who are irregular migrants in the UK. We are looking to
commission three researchers or teams to interview:
* Chinese-speaking irregular migrants, including those from Fujian
province in China
* Russian-speaking irregular migrants who may or may not be Russian
nationals
* Indian and Pakistani irregular migrants.
We will require project teams to conduct eight in-depth qualitative
interviews and administer 25 shorter polling questionnaires. The
interviews and the poll will explore past migration experiences and the
future migration intentions of irregular migrants.
We have a budget of £5,500 for the interviews and polling. For further
information and an application form please contact Jill Rutter at ippr
