For information, The British Library get details to populate EThOS from
its catalogue. And the catalogue has records created from title sheets
sent to The British Library by the institution.
So, in the case of your missing items, someone from your university will
have sent the cover sheets for those theses to The British Library to be
catalogued. The original books aren't sent to us.
This process will continue for physical theses.
Best wishes

Subject: Procedure
Hi,
Can some-one tell me what the procedure is when we receive a request for
a thesis that we don't actually have in stock?
I received two such requests last week -- which prompted me to consider
- where do BL get the details from to populate the Ethos catalogue?
Many thanks,
Sarah P
