I think there is only one way of escaping normality, as a guess, not by dying I am afraid, that is also part of normality. the only way is by disappearing. it is interesting to note that the Aztecs considered death to be part of the stages of human transitions. it is judeocristianity that let us believe that death is the end of the book.
