The Programme for Inclusive Education together with a number of collaborators from other Departments within the Faculty of Education will be organising a Conference on the 30th April (4pm-8pm) and the 1st of May 2009 (9am-4pm) at the Lecture Theatre 1 (car Park 2), University of Malta on a very topical issue:
When educating is difficult: Are inclusive schools the answer?
Parent activists, policy-makers, practitioners and academics will be presenting a number of papers to debate this very topical and complex issue which we feel is at the center of this exciting period in education reform and transformation. For this Conference we will be having two highly renowned international academics in the field of inclusive education; Professor Roger Slee from the University of London and Professor Renzo Vianello from the University of Padova who will be drawing from the massive international experience they have garnered over the years.
