1. Association news
1.1 We will shortly be making a change to our renewal procedure for
individual members. From 1 May 2009, and quarterly thereafter, we will
operate a quarterly renewal process, for all members whose renewal fell
due in the previous three months. This will have no effect on the
membership benefits of individual members, nor on the costs; but it will
make the management of the renewal process simpler and more efficient
for ALT. If you have any queries, please contact: Maren Deepwell,
Membership Services Manager: [log in to unmask]
1.2 ALT Learning Technologist of the Year Award. The rubric for the 2009
Award is now available at http://www.alt.ac.uk/awards.html. The closing
date for entries is 21 May 2009.
1.3 We will shortly be issuing a call for nominations for election to a
three year term as a Trustee of ALT, which is open to individual members
of at least 12 months' standing and aged 18 years or over on 9 September
2009. The closing date for nominations will be in early June. Election
will be by ballot vote, online and by post. The ALT AGM will be at 15.00
on 9 September, in Manchester.
