The ups and downs of spectral analysis
It is some 50 year since Blackman and Tukey's book on "The Measurement of
Power Spectra" appeared. In that time the statistician's interest in spectral
methods has waxed and waned.
This talk is intended to remind its audience of the potential of these methods
for answering questions about the structure and dependence between time
series, and its importance for anyone dealing with time series. The
presentation will aim to be accessible to those with little knowledge of the
topic, and applications will be taken from many areas including the medical
and environmental sciences and economics.
Directions etc on the website.

Best wishes
