One-day training workshop
Joint modelling of longitudinal and survival data in clinical research
JoineR, http://www.joine-r.org.uk/, is a collaborative research project between the universities of Liverpool (PI: Professor Paula Williamson), Lancaster (PI: Professor Peter Diggle) and Newcastle (PI: Professor Robin Henderson), aiming to bring modern methods of statistical analysis into mainstream medical research. The project aims to develop new statistical methodologies for the analysis of complex longitudinal data structures, implement the methods in corresponding user-friendly software in the R language and disseminate the results to the medical research community.
We are pleased to announce the following one-day training workshop:
Joint modelling of longitudinal and survival data in clinical research (JoineR)
Dates and venues:
15th May 2009 (MRC, London)
5th June 2009 (Foresight Centre, Liverpool)
10th June 2009 (Conference Centre, Manchester)
12th June 2009 (MRC, London)
For more detail and to register: https://www.liv.ac.uk/medstats/courses.htm
Expository lecture: Free
JoineR lecture and training session: Non-refundable charge of £10 (limited places)
The workshop is relevant to clinical researchers, applied statisticians and other data analysts faced with the need to analyse survival and longitudinal data together. Participants will learn about the latest methodology for joint survival and longitudinal data analysis in clinical research. You will extend your data analysis and interpretation skills to a variety of applications. You will learn how to use specialised software for joint modelling. Participants can register for just the expository lecture or both the lecture and training workshop. Priority will be given to staff from non-commercial organisations.
