A CoFHE East Midlands Event: Supporting Learners with Physical Disabilities
and Associated Learning Difficulties
Portland College in Mansfield is a specialist residential college for people who
have physical disabilities and associated learning difficulties. CoFHE East
Midlands has arranged a visit to the College on Thursday May 7th
incorporating a full day of workshops on various aspects of provision for such
students. The event will be led by Portland College’s Research and
Technology Development Manager, Matt Harrison, who has 12 years’
experience in this area, and will include four hand-on sessions: Literacy
Through Symbols; e-Learning and m-Learning; Accessibility Software; and
Flexible Assistive and Adaptive Technology. This promises to be a really
interesting and informative event and places are very limited, so book without
delay!
When: Thursday May 7th from 10am to 4pm
Where: Portland College, Mansfield
Cost: £45 per person including lunch

your name, job title, institution and address for invoicing, plus details of any
special access or dietary requirements.
*Be advised that we will communicate with you via e-mail in all instances
unless told otherwise*. If you book and then fail to attend the session,
without informing us in advance, you will be charged the full fee. If you let us
know that you cannot attend less than one week in advance and we are not
able to fill your place you will also be charged the full fee.
