The Johnson-Shoyama Graduate School of Public Policy and the Canada
Research Chair in Public Policy at the University of Saskatchewan are seeking
applications for a new Post-Doctoral Fellowship in Social Policy Research. This
fellowship is open to junior scholars who have completed their PhD within the
last three years (defense of May 31, 2006 or after). Candidates interested in
qualitative methods and the politics of social policy are especially encouraged
to apply. The selected candidate will receive office space, library access, and
a maximum of CDN$50,000 for one year. Duties include working 15 hours a
week with the Canada Research Chair on selected research projects while
establishing academic residence at the Diefenbaker Canada Centre (University
of Saskatchewan) for the duration of the fellowship. No teaching obligations
are attached to this fellowship, and the successful candidate will have ample
opportunity to work on her/his own research and writing projects. The starting
and ending dates for this fellowship are flexible, but the term will not last more
than 12 months.
