To mark the 10th anniversary of the commitment to eradicate child poverty,
the Child Poverty Action Group has published a manifesto, ‘Ending Child
Poverty: a manifesto for success’. List members may find this of interest, you
can find out more or download a copy at www.cpag.org.uk/manifesto
This manifesto is published in the run up to the 2009 budget, discusses target
to halve UK child poverty by 2010 (achievable but off track), changes needed
to protect families with children at a time of growing hardship, and practical
steps to re-orientate social policy (incomes, employment, and public services)
to put children first.
Best wishes
