Archivist (Temporary)
Archives and Records Centre, North Lanarkshire Council

North Lanarkshire Archives has a wealth of historical material. Archival
collections include the records of old landed estates, local authorities, clubs
and societies, businesses and personal papers.
Located in North Lanarkshire Council Archives and Records Centre,
Cumbernauld, you will ensure the smooth running of the archive service and
undertake the effective management of the historic archive collections,
ensuring their continued survival. There will also be a level of involvement in
areas of records management.
You should be educated to degree level along with a relevant post graduate
qualification and one year’s relevant experience would be preferred.
The post demands flexibility, as you will be required to work in a number of
venues in North Lanarkshire, and will also be involved in research and
processing of public enquiries. As part of a team of museum staff, you will
also be expected to assist with exhibitions and publications.
