We have over a number of years had a UK group looking at the issues you
identify below. Although it is called JASIG UK (a regional forum of the
JASIG consortium), it is not explicitly focussed on the JASIG sponsored
technology, uPortal, or other portal systems based on uPortal (Luminus), but
has a wider focus on the implementation of portal technology and enterprise
integration.
The meetings happen about once a year and the next one will be held in York
on 22nd April (http://www.ja-sig.org/wiki/display/JSG/JA-SIG+UK). It is
free and everyone is welcome. The agenda is created by the participants so
if you do have some particular issues you would like answering and are able
to attend, start adding agenda items now.
Regards
Robert
