Hi Johnny,
Are you interested in spoken word performance as well? (Personally, I
tend to call my work whatever works best for the venue in which it
appears, but these are not full-length productions. They are,
auto-ethnographic texts written for performance.)
If you'd like, I can forward you two things: one is a poem called "My Son
is a Straight A Student" that appears on my last audio CD and will also
appear in the forthcoming book Poetic Inquiry: Vibrant Voices in the
Social Sciences (Rotterdam: Sense Publishing). (My chapter in that book
might be the only one that addresses performance specifically -- I don't
now recall.)
The other is a performance piece called "I was an academic groupie" about
the student-teacher erotic connection at the college/university level. I
performed that one at the last Qualitative Inquiry conference. It's not
been published.
I'm interested in what you're doing; look forward to seeing more. Let me
know if these are suitable to your needs. The first is 5 minutes long and
the second is about 12 minutes long.
In partnership,
Kimberly Dark
