Well, I don't have the answers to these but at least we now have the
questions! Thanks Tony. And it's true that if you're missing the point
then there's a problem for at least one user, and probably more.
Personally I think I can see the point for myself as a user (not that
I've registered yet, before anyone checks), and I would generalise that
to an assumption that other users will too. I suppose lots of us have
had the advantage of hearing the idea explained in depth already, but I
think the home page is a perfectly clear call to action. So I guess
we'll just have to see if it takes off, or which bits of it do.
My own question relates to the WebQuests, since we've all heard about
them but I can't for the life of me find any. I know they're meant to be
elsewhere, not on Creative Spaces, but looking on the V&A, BM and NHM
sites I couln't find one. Help?
Oh, and one other question. The subdomain prefixes (vna.nmolp.org,
bm.nmolp.org etc) deserve a "why?" of their own.
Cheers, Jeremy

I'd be inclined to agree with the 'Why?' part.
The front page is very web 2.0, but it doesn't explain anything to me.
I'm not understanding the reason why I might engage with the site.
technically it's obviously very clever, but I don't get it.
What's in it for me?
Who will use it? why will they use it?
I'm reminded of the adage, "just because we can, doesn't mean we
should".
I'm sort of vaguely understanding the purpose, but it doesn't excite me.
I think I'd rather see collections assembled by experts than random
collections thrown together by people playing with technology...
Am I missing the point?
(Obviously)
