Inspired by Frankie reminding us of the BBC's 10 web principles, I
thought I'd share this with those who may have missed it first time
around.
in February 2006 Tom Coates, then also at the BBC, gave a presentation
to a Future Of Web Apps conference entitled "Native to a Web of Data".
This talks about such arcane matters as APIs for the web, designing
with re-use of your resources in mind etc.
This was *three years* ago.
One slide in particular caught my attention, and a print-out of this
slide has been stuck to my office wall ever since.
This is the slide:

I think this is a pertinent now as it was then.
If we design web applications now which are unable to participate in a
'web of data' then we seriously need to re-examine our development
strategies.
