Many existing case studies of various scopes and scales are available
through the Digital Curation Centre and AHDS websites, along with
Information Papers and Guides to Good Practice, which I hope will be
useful.

Subject: Preservation and curation of digital assets - request for case
studies
I am undertaking research, for Renaissance East Midlands, to provide
guidance for small to medium size museums in the preservation and
curation of digital assets. This will draw on existing guidance from
Collections Link, Digital Preservation Coalition, JISC Digital Media
(formerly TASI), and UKOLN, amongst others. The guidance will be
published in an easy-to-read format on the REM website, and we hope the
Collections Link website.
The recommendations focus on digital assets in the form of image, audio
and video documents, but will refer briefly to issues relating to the
preservation and curation of web sites.
As part of this guidance, I would like to include some case studies to
illustrate good practice. This may of course include lessons learned!
If members of the group are willing to share their experiences, I would
be very pleased to hear from them off list.
With thanks
Julian Tomlin
