I think there is a place for requests for material on Lis-Link as a last resort, if it can't be traced anywhere else, but... Most of the requests for multiple copies of e.g. plays or music could be confined to a list of those services or institutions which will lend multiple copies, and equally, there could be a list of services/institutions which are the likelier holders of academic journals; I'm not saying that are no public libraries with holdings of foreign language scientific journals, but they must be few and far between.

Subject: List owner
Hi everyone
I have taken over responsibility as list owner for Lis-ILL from Jean Bradford - and will continue the watching brief!
Just one point. I have noticed an increase in the number of requests for material being placed on Lis-Link. I wondered if this was being done by Document Delivery Departments or whether this might be being done by other colleagues within libraries.
Any thoughts?
Cheers
Graham
