I think Suzy has got the right answer from my point of view.
I ain't saying no to the data, but I ain't volunteering due to resources and priority of this work.
And that is based on my experience of using the PAS download data.
To be clear, my view is that the HER only needs this information for DC purposes. As the PAS and UKDFD data is online, if needed for research, then the researchers can get it direct from those sources.
There is no real benefit in duplicating it in the HER for purely research purposes in my view (and actually good reasons not to - in terms of duplication of effort, problems of keeping things up dated in parallel systems etc etc - which is why the PAS HBSMR import has taken so long to sort out)
I downloaded the PAS data a few years back (which included the Parish and 4 fig ref finds). I then deleted out all the Parish and 4 fig grid ref finds (as its of limited use for DC purposes) and plotted the rest (ie 6 fig grid refs or better) on GIS.
I haven't updated this yet as the question is how high a priority is this? How much has this data actually been used to inform DC? (And I can't answer that) and therefore how much is it worth the half day of my time it (roughly) took to do this?
So, applying that cost/benefit analysis to UKDFD - I just ain't sure that the amount of time I would put in would be worth what I would get back.
The only way I would now that would be to put in some research time to find out, and before you know it your in catch 22 territory.
And as to the point about our data standard high horse - having dealt with various data sources which don't conform to any standard (amateur and professional) and trying to incorporate them into the HER, lack of standardisation adds to the time needed to sort them out, which tips the cost/benefit further against them when it comes to prioritising them.
that may not be the answer wanted, but I hope it better explains why this is - at least for me
best wishes
