So, in a nutshell, DPM 1.7.1 packages exist, and are thought to run
correctly on SL5, they just haven't gone through the certification
process[1]. So if someone were prepared to go slightly off-piste, they
could install DPM 1.7.1 on SL5 and expect it to work, today?
Next question - would a DPM 1.7.1 on SL5 pool node be expected to work
with the current gLite release of the head node?

[1] Like the significant chunks of stuff we're supposed to pull from
DAG and jPackage etc. which also haven't been anywhere near a
certification process.
