might not have had to drink out of flower vases.'
And she reports that 'yesterday the Local Government Association told
members to cut out 200 expressions, such as fast-track and revenue
stream, on the ground that they are meaningless.' I suppose we could
do our bit by responding to such jargon with the phrase "Mid Staffs".
