Perhaps John,You can illuminate on what is reality?. Your cleverly elaborated (I am right, you don't) is based on the dichotomy material vs ideal worlds. More over, it is based on the perception that the body is a sort of prisson (otherwise why equating the disabilty struggle with slavery? whihc is the restriction to 'freedom' of movement and freedom to sell your labour).
If you in effect are convinced that your reality is real, what is real to you?. In the dialectics of the owner and the slave, where your final dictum stays, it appears that you consider 'reality ' the subjectivity of the 'owner'. In metaphorical terms your choice is 'the able body reality' for which those that are not like them are 'slaves' anyyway, no matther how much poetry they can create, how mcuh laughter they may have, because those are 'slaves chants', 'religion' 'opium'.

Colin,
Doing away with words never alters reality. All the differences you
enumerate below continue regardless. BTW, "dreams," whether held by the
Ivory Tower types or so-called activists bespeak the common human tendency
to soften harsh reality with hope for a better future. American slaves,
before and after liberation, sought refuge in their dreams, religion, and
music. In some ways they are getting closer to a better future; in other
ways, appear stuck in the racist morass.

Put this on here weeks ago.... You academics types a miles behind the times.
It's with academics sitting up-there in their Ivory Towers (wink -wink)
while the 'real' world passes you bye (LOL), not like us 'Actvists' who are
in the front-line everyday... The factory fodder at the 'coal-face'.... and
they say there is no '(Working/Underclass)Class-system'.... Or No!!!;
'Class' is one of those words which has been buried and wiped-out within our
history that postmodernist and neo-liberlaist (neo-cons) have taken out
through the 'middle/upper class' education system for the privalged few,
that most disabled peoples will never have this equality of
opportunity.within inaccessible exclusive disablist educational structures..
