NDI Basic Human Rights and Civil Liberties abuse cases:
NDI continues to pro-active campaign with the EHRC, Liberty and Government with our friends and allies to 'FREEOURPEOPLE'
Many you will have heard the story of Piers Bolduc – a man with Asperger's who’s been in Broadmoor for 15 years after being misdiagnosed with schizophrenia.
NDI are aware that no 'suitable' accommodation which allows Piers to have his basic human rights and civil liberties to 'inclusive-living' can be found here in the UK.
NDI and others are well informed that this injustice is not an isolated case here in the UK and across the global world and is of continued concern
NDI states this is disgraceful and very clearly this is a basic human and civil rights abuse towards Piers and his family and the Government must urgently address these problems.
NDI will fight with other to continually campaign for freedom and justice for Piers Bolduc and others who are 'victims' and 'survivors' of 'systematic' failings, injustices, basic human rights abuses and 'institutionalised Disablism'.
Many NeuroDiverse and other disabled people are being continually abused of their basic human rights and civil liberties 'within' and 'by' public bodies and Her Majesty's Courts Service (HMCS), due to the Government continued failures to protect their basic human rights and civil liberties.
NDI are well aware and informed that inparopraite ASBO's and Injunctions are being unlawfully used by HMCS and many County Councils and other public bodies against NeuroDiverse and other disabled people.
This is 'crimilisation' of their 'impairments' which is against the public bodies disability equality duties and violation of basic human rights and civil liberties.
NDI state this behaviour is a 'knee-jerk' reaction to 'cover-up' their continued 'system and structural failures' within health, social care and educational institutions.
NDI, Allies/Friends with the EHRC and Liberty have asked continually for these matters to be urgently addressed immediately under the UN Disability Convention and call for a more 'thinking-outside-of-the-box' creative response with appropriate funding mechanisms put into place to enable a multi-agency approach to empower all NeuroDiverse and other Disabled People in protecting their basic human rights and civil liberties and tackling continued 'Disability Hate-Crimes' and 'Institutionalised-Disablism'.
