FYI. I think this violates the anti-discrimination provisions of Section 504
of the Rehabilitation Act of 1974, as amended. But politics and threat to
market share and profits, as always, require a loud protest from affected
consumers.

FYI. I'm not sure where this leaves people older people with failing
eyesight. Will they avoid a Kindle entirely, or endure lists of available
kindle publications tagged "not audible?" I wonder how it will play with the
disability community. Maybe I'll post to one of the disability rights
listservs to see what might be the reaction. --JHN
