Hi,
I've encountered exactly the same error on my machine, but since Tk
works for me I did not investigate further. I have no errors regarding
OpenGL with any other programs, so I assumed that the compilation of
analysis went somehow wrong.
I'm using Fedora 10 64bit with an Geforce 8600 and the 180.29 nvidia
driver. I compiled analysis against the python, Tk, .. from Fedora,
answering yes to all questions of the installation script.
The "glxChooseVisual failed" only appeared for me after I installed
the proprietary nvidia driver. Before that, with the open source
driver OpenGL mode worked for me.
So if Marco is also using the proprietary nvidia driver, this is
probably the same problem (Except for the part of not seeing spectra
in Tk mode).
Regards
Fabian
