Dear all,
An announcement of interest to all UK postgraduates in Slavonic and East
European Studies.
My term as the Postgraduate Representative on the BASEES committee will be up at
the next BASEES conference (March 28-30st) and I would like to encourage all
interested PhD students to consider applying for the post.
As PG Representative, you will have the opportunity to attend BASEES
committee meetings and potentially take part in decision-making and the
organisation of future Slavonic-interest events.
You will also have a budget for a conference/seminar series/workshop/web-based
project involving other UK postgraduates. I used my budget to organise a
workshop culture at Oxford University in November 2008 and a faculty seminar
speaker exchange; previous representatives have organised entire conferences
(with the help of additinal fundig from other sources). It's entirely up to you!
Please contact me ([log in to unmask]) and/or the BASEES
Postgraduate Co-ordinator, Natasha Rulyova ([log in to unmask])before March
25th if you are interested.
Best wishes to all
Josie von Zitzewitz
