Records and Archives Officer (12 month fixed term contract)
£23,075 p.a.
Central London
As the organisation responsible for promoting high standards among the UK's nurses, midwives and specialist community public health nurses, it's crucial that, in every area of the organisation, we strive for the highest possible standards ourselves. Vitally important to achieving this is the maintenance of our records, and here you'll play a key role in helping us ensure we provide an effective service.
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join a small records and archives team. You will contribute to the review of file plans and retention schedules, support users of the electronic records management (TRIM) system, and provide training in its use to new staff. Excellent IT, research and time management skills will be essential. You'll also need to be systematic and meticulous - with an exceptional eye for detail - and able to work well under your own initiative. Training to use TRIM will be provided.
You will work with a wide variety of stakeholders, from internal staff and Council/committee members to external parties such as healthcare trust and our registrants. Your experience of working in a politically sensitive environment handling confidential information will be crucial.
With a professional qualification in records or archive management (or working towards this) and experience in this field, including working with electronic records management systems and dealing with requests under the Freedom of Information Act and the Data Protection Act, you'll be a real team player with first class communication skills who is flexible in approach and positive in attitude.
In return, you can enjoy an environment committed to your personal and professional development.
