Queen Mary, University of London is one of the UK's leading research-focused
higher education institutions ranked 11th in the UK in the 2008 Research
Assessment Exercise. With some 15,000 undergraduate and postgraduate
students and 3,000 staff, Queen Mary is amongst the largest of the colleges
of the University of London. The College delivers world class degree
programmes and research across 21 academic departments and institutes,
within three sectors: Science and Engineering, Humanities, Social Sciences
and Laws, and the School of Medicine and Dentistry.

The newly-created role of Records and Information Compliance Manager has
been established to consolidate the effective co-ordination and management
of QMUL’s Data Protection and Freedom of Information duties, in conjunction
with the development of a framework, policies and procedures for records
management and information compliance across the College.

Strong interpersonal skills are required, as candidates will be expected to
deliver training to staff on a range of matters relating to information
compliance across Queen Mary’s diverse academic and central service sectors.
Candidates should have a degree or equivalent and hold a postgraduate
professional qualification in records/archives management or information
management/sciences.

This is a full time, permanent post, with a salary in the range of
£33,492-£39,430 per annum. Benefits include 30 days’ annual leave plus 4
days on which the College is closed as well as Bank Holidays, an annual
season ticket loan scheme and final salary pension scheme.

Candidates must be able to demonstrate their eligibility to work in the UK
in accordance with the Asylum and Immigration Act 1999.
