A first announcement of two lectureships at the University of Exeter
that would suit those with interests in biological applications of
Bayesian statistics.
Two Lectureships in Applied Mathematics - Systems Biology
University of Exeter, U.K.
(Ref 1881/1882)
The School of Engineering, Computing and Mathematics (SECaM) of the
University of Exeter seeks highly motivated individuals who will bring
modelling skills from Control Theory, Dynamical Systems and/or Bayesian
Statistics to catalyse inter-disciplinary research collaboration in
Systems Biology, to interact with a number of additional appointments
being made across the university in this theme; see
http://www.exeter.ac.uk/research/excellence/keythemes/systemsbiology/
We encourage applications from Applied Mathematicians with modelling
experience at any level of biological organisation - from genomes to
cells to organisms to population and community dynamics. Informal
enquiries should be directed to Prof. Stuart Townley
([log in to unmask]), SECaM.
Full details of all of these posts, including the application procedure
can be found on our website at www.ex.ac.uk/jobs. Applications should
be submitted electronically to [log in to unmask]
The closing date for applications is noon on Friday 27th March 2009.
All of these posts are available from 1st September 2009 or earlier by
negotiation, with a start date by mutual agreement.
