Graphical Models and Genetic Applications - April 15-17, 2009 - University of Warwick
Dear Colleagues,
The deadline for registration for the workshop on Graphical Models and Genetic Applications is 20 March 2009. Applications can be submitted at the following website:
http://www2.warwick.ac.uk/fac/sci/statistics/crism/workshops/graphical_models
The Workshop on Graphical Models and Genetic Applications will run from lunchtime Wednesday 15th April '09 to Friday 17th April '09. The hope is that the juxtaposition of several different fields covered by the talks will trigger various synergies between participants. The Workshop will begin with presentations about the construction and stimation of pedigrees and phylogenetic trees. The talks then move to the study of the use of graphical models in genetic identification problems and causal inference including using Mendelian randomization, gene mapping and dynamic graphs. The construction of new types of graphical models and their selection, estimation and potential areas of application will also be studied as well as various computational issues.
More details including a preliminary program and a list of invited speakers is also available at the web address above.
To Participate:
Please complete the application form which can be found at the web site above. Please include a title and abstract of any poster you would like to present. In addition, some authors may be invited to give contributed talks based on their submission.
