Jonathan:
This report is of interest to both myself and AACC LISMI Division and
those here at the UW as we have an Anatomic Pathologist who has developed
an information architecture for the anatomic pathology lab environement that
can markedly improve the abilitities of that supportive service in the
Assessment Phase of the Basic Care Scenario of Individual health Care
using the Electronic Health Record (EHR). AACC LISMID has been, and continues
to, work with the US Health Informatics Standards bodies (via ANSI HITSP
and its SDOs) for collaborative involvement of the various clinical lab
specialties working toward a unified, consistent set of conventions that
integrate the clinical lab activities with the EHR. Can you give me an
e-mail contact to give to our UW Anatomic Pathologist so that he can
communicate with the Stockport project. This communication may lead to
innformation that could be usefully presented at the upcoming AACC Annual
Meeting in July in Chicago that could be jointly sponsored by ACB and the
AACC LISMID. I look forward to your reply.
Sincerely,
