We are investigating the possibility of (1) using the Business
Processing Modeling Notation [1],
which is generally acknowledged as the de-facto standard for business
process modeling,
as a simulation modeling language, (2) simulating certain kinds of
business process models by
transforming BPMN models into our agent-based simulation language AORSL
[2,3].
Unfortunately, we do not yet have a paper on this.

Our agent-based simulation language AORSL is defined in terms of a
UML/MOF model [4].
