There is also a series of articles on the future of capitalism in the financial times, with both those and the economist using blog technology, presumably to increase market connection but perhaps as collateral, to make it possible to raise arguments which present their ideologues with something to chew on?
On in last week's economist made a most strange connection between Russia and Spain in the 1930s, which I simply don't believe that anyone who has heard of Franco would possibly believe.
Whether these people are amenable to argument I don't know, but the first FT article was by Martin Wolf, though I can't be sure what is him and what is some sub editor
Whether any of this is worth any time at all is an experiment worth conducting, but that trouble is the consumption of time

Subject: [UMKCLEE-AHEUK] The Economist online debate on the future of Keynesian principles
The Economist online debate on the future of Keynesian principles - the Economist’s latest debate on the resurgence among politicians and economists of Keynesian principles.
Keynesian ideas have enjoyed a new lease of life as economies around the world have tumbled into recession. Conventional monetary policies seem to have reached their limits, but this debate will ask if governments should be able to spend their way out of financial gloom.

The proposition for this debate is "This house believes that we are all Keynesians now". Brad DeLong, University of California, and Luigi Zingales, University of Chicago, will contest the proposition, while Patrick Lane, Deputy Business Affairs editor of The Economist, will moderate the debate. It would be great if you’d take part by contributing your views.
Best wishes,
David Humber
