Hi Andy,
We are almost on the verge of purchasing Snap Surveys and PDAs to use with it. We've not yet taken the plunge but have had a lot of good feedback from other museum/ heritage users and are likely to go ahead with it in the next financial year. We thin it will speed up our reporting time and make the results that bit more pertinent.
Obviously we will have to factor in some time and budget for training our interviewers but we think that it will be well worth it in the long run.
I'd be interested to know what conclusions you come too!
Regards,
Vivien Bell.

Subject: Digital data collection
Dear all
Does anyone have any experience of using PDAs and/or Tablet PCs for collecting evaluation data (as a replacement for paper and clipboard). If so, what hardware and software did you use? Did you think the experience was worth the hassle and investment? We're discussing the idea at the Centre for Life, and I'm not sure whether this is a good idea or not.
Cheers
Andy
