Social Science and Innovation Conference
11 February 2009
Royal Society of the Arts (RSA), London
Convened by Lead AIM Innovation Fellow Professor Michelle Lowe, this event
is aimed at all those on the interface between innovation and social
studies, in particular members of the policy and practice community as well
as academics in management and the social sciences
The main objective of the conference is to develop further the implications
of recent research by generating dialogue between the large amount of
research on innovation (broadly defined) being carried out across the social
sciences, and that taking place in management research (specifically under
the auspices of AIM). Speakers at the conference will address these issues
from a variety of perspectives and their presentations will serve as a
springboard for a panel discussion on the overall impact on policy and
practice as well as more specifically the interface between social science
and management research and the potential for cross fertilisation of ideas
on the theme of innovation.
There will be ample opportunity for networking both before and after the event.
Speakers:
The event will be chaired by Professor Andy Neely, Deputy Director of AIM.
